The native of Tallinn Sergey shared his opinion with “ribbon.ru” in the framework of a special project dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the collapse of the Soviet Union.

He found that the Russian population of the Baltic States did not fight for their rights, as he believed that he could preserve his position in society and in independent countries.

Earlier, the human rights activist Mstislav Rusakov accused Estonia in turning Russian children in the Russophobes because of the inability to study at school in his native language. “If the Russian child goes to the Estonian school, then, most likely, he will become an Estonian, and even there is such a tendency that such children become big Estonians than the Estonians themselves – they are shy of their roots, parents, they are brightering Russophobia,” Stressed Rusakov.

Almost 30 percent of Estonian residents consider Russian to be their relatives. The Russian-speaking population lives in almost all regions of Estonia, but their concentration is most high in the north-east of the country and in the south-east of Tallinn.
