Russia for the first time applied the reconnaissance dried drones “INODOCHET” and “FORPOST”, which are part of the “Swallow” complex. Unmanned aerial vehicles (CAP) were used to support the upcoming troops during the “West-2021” teachings, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Russian Defense.
Support for the upcoming troops for the first time in practice was carried out by shock drones, noted in the defense department. The exercises involved the reconnaissance and impact assemblies “INODOCHET” and “FORPOST”, equipped with intelligence and targeting systems, as well as armed manageable rockets.
drones were able to hit the lively strength and armored vehicle of the conditional opponent in the open locality. To destroy the goals, fragmentary and cumulative ammunition were used.
The “outpost” drone is a licensed copy of the Israeli intelligence CAPP SEARCHER II. In 2019, the Ministry of Defense of Russia published a video flight of the modernized drone “FORPOST-R”. The new version is distinguished by the use of Russian components and running weight of 500 kilograms.
In turn, the medieval CAPP “INODODETAR” is the development of the Russian company “Kronstadt”. The drone can carry controlled and corrected airbabs, as well as controlled missiles.
In June, it became known about the first application of the armament of the drone “Altius” during the tests. UAV successfully inflicted a bomb strike in a land target. “Altius” uses the same set of weapons, which is integrated into the “INOKOVET”.
