Qin Ghana’s words sounded during a closed session on Zoom organized by the National Committee on Relations between the United States of America and China (NCUSCR) at the end of August. In response to the question of how to improve US-Chinese relations, the diplomat answered: Washington should cease to worsen the situation.
“Otherwise, if we cannot figure out our disagreements, you should shut up,” asked the Chinese ambassador.
Another diplomatic scandal between the United States and China broke out in March 2021, when an encircle was held in Anchorage between the delegations of both countries at the highest level. China accused the United States in violation of the Protocol and the inappropriate access to the guests: the Chinese delegation arrived at Alaska “with sincere intentions”, but the American side accusations against China’s policies.
