Total in the air, aircraft were 430 thousand hours. More than 1460 pilots are trained and over 11 thousand units of ground service personnel of fighters. In total, 14 countries performed by the F-35 Lightning II customers. It is assumed that the fighter can also be sold by Switzerland, UAE, Finland and Canada.
In Lockheed Martin, stated that over the past five years, the operating costs of F-35 Lightning II decreased by 40 percent. In the next five years, it is planned to reduce another 40 percent.
Earlier in September, in the presentation of the American Corporation, Lockheed Martin, presented at the 27th International Exhibition MSPO 2021, it was described that in the current century in Europe it is planned to deploy 13 permanent airbases with 450 fighters of the F-35 Lightning II. According to the map shown in the appropriate slide, in the UK, the Netherlands, Italy, Norway, Belgium and Poland will be two airbases with such fighters, whereas in Denmark – one. Four of 13 objects have already been commissioned. The deadlines for the start of the full work of the other eight airbases are installed. The final decision on the 13th object (near the Polish city of Sadvedin) has not yet been accepted.
