Hungary spent stocks of Vaccine “Satellite V” because of popularity

Hungary completely spent the reserves of the Russian vaccine from the coronavirus “satellite V”. This was stated by the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry Peter Siyarthto in an interview with RBC.

According to the diplomat, Hungary used the entire Russian drug, as it was very popular among the population. “We vaccinated almost a million people with this vaccine,” Siyarthto said.

Foreign Minister also stressed that the Hungarian government is already negotiating with the manufacturer of the Russian vaccine to begin production of the “satellite V” under license in Hungary. Siyarthto hopes that in the future the state will be independent of external supplies, and will also be able to sell a vaccine to other countries to get market benefits.

Earlier, Pakistan Ambassador in Russia Shavkat Ali Khan stated that the country was ready to purchase at least 10 million doses of the “satellite V” at a minimum of 10 million doses. The ambassador noted that Islamabad announced his interest in the production of Russian vaccine in the Pakistani territory.
