Deaf-side Belarusian sent to colony for insult Lukashenko

Deaf-side inhabitant of Belarus Dmitry Zalovsky was sent to the colony for two years for insulting President Alexander Lukashenko. It is reported by the Human Rights Center “Spring”.

The General Prosecutor’s Office reported that a resident of Gomel was convicted for “insulting the head of state, a representative of the authorities and a threat of violence against the judge.” He, in particular, posted in Telegram “photo image of the head of state containing its negative assessment.”

Dmitry worked by the appliance at the enterprise “Vipra”. From February he had searches, took the computer and telephone. Relatives say that the employees of the enterprise with the problems of hearing were their closed chat, but what they wrote there, unknown.

In September 2020, the Gomel railway area justified a 23-year-old disabled hearing Alexander. According to the police, he “actively participated in an unauthorized rally, loudly shouted slogans.” The young man argued that he was beaten by Riot.

Since August last year, mass protests were held in Belarus demanding the resignation of Lukashenko and holding new presidential elections.
