In Russia, an underwater drone robot “Surrogat” was designed, which, with the help of acoustics, imitates a submarine to deceive the enemy. This was reported by RIA Novosti, a representative of the Central Design Bureau of Marine Technology (CKB MT) “Rubin”.
“Improvement of acoustic systems allows you to more confidently imitate the acoustic portrait of a submarine with an accuracy sufficient for” deception “of aviation and shipping complexes of detection, and in the future – and stationary systems.” Rubin “presented the concept project of a robotic complex” Surrogat “for conducting exercises, “said the representative.
According to him, a large submarine imitator is equipped with a lithium-ion battery. “Surrogate” is able to act up to 15-16 hours, while all the time it will reproduce “maneuvering submarine”, including at high speeds.
Earlier unnamed representative of the CCB MT “Rubin” said that in Russia, underwater drones were created, intended for tracking the enemy submarines, which are already tested.
In April, the CKB “Rubin” has developed a submersible patrol ship “Guard”. The project of the vessel uniting the advantages of the submarine and the surface ship was presented in April. Developers believe that their project will be interested in foreign customers.
