Planned correction of height of ISS orbit is scheduled for September 11

In order to form ballistic conditions before the start of the transport piloted ship “Union MS-19” and the landing of the Soyuz MS-18, on September 11, 2021, the next correction of the orbit height of the International Space Station is planned.

According to preliminary data of the service of ballistic-navigation support of the Center for Flight Management TsNIIMASH (included in the state corporation “Roskosmos”), at 21:54 Moscow time will be issued a team on the inclusion of the engines of the service module “Star” of the Russian segment of the ISS, which will work 27 seconds. The impulse will be 0.37 m / s. After the corrective maneuvers, the height of the orbital station will increase by 650 meters.

Parameters of the ISS orbit after the adjusting maneuver:

  • Capacity: 92.93 min.
  • Orbit: 51.66 degrees.
  • Minimum orbit height: 419,27 km
  • Maximum height Orbits: 439.54 km.

Now, on board the International Space Station, the crew in the astronauts of Roscosmos Oleg Novitsky and Peter Dubrova, NASA Astronaut Mark Vanda Haya, arrived on April 9, 2021 on the Soyuz MS-18 ship, as well as Crew Dragon crew members of the NASA astronauts Shane Cybrou and Megan Macarutur, Astronaut of the European Space Agency Tom Sand and Astronaut of the Japanese Agency Agency Aerosmatic Research Aquico Hoshide.
