UN: stated a violation of data “Taliban” promises

At the emergency session of the UN Committee on Human Rights, the Taliban (a terrorist organization prohibited in Russia) will recruit children, execute civilians and limits women’s rights. This was stated by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet, reports The Guardian.

According to the High Commissioner, the Office regularly receives reliable reports on serious violations of the fundamental human rights by militants of movement. We are talking about the extrajudicial executions of civilians and former members of the National Safety Forces of Afghanistan, restricting the rights of women – including the rights to free movement and the right of girls to visit schools. “A recruitment of child soldiers is being recruited and suppress peaceful protests,” she emphasizes.

Bachelet reminded that Taliban should not violate these promises to respect the rights of women and ethnic and religious minorities. “I urge the Taliban to take the norms of responsible reign and work on the restoration of social cohesion, including by respecting the rights of all those who suffered over the decades of conflict,” the High Commissioner concluded.

Earlier, the Taliban stated that the rights of Afghan women would be observed according to the laws of Sharia. According to the press secretary of the movement, women will be able to work and go to schools.
