Roskosmos General Director of Dmitry Rogozin and the head of NASA Bill Nelson at the meeting in October will discuss issues of extension of operation of the International Space Station (ISS). It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Deputy Head of the State Corporation on International Cooperation Sergey Savelyev.
According to the representative of Roscosmos, Rogozin will meet with an American counterpart in the UAE. “Nelson promised to come before the end of the year, but most likely, the real meeting will be held in Dubai in October during the astronautical congress,” he said.
Savelyev answered the question affirmatively, whether the issue of extension of the ISS is discussed during the negotiations.
Earlier, Rogozin called the call to challenge the Ilona mask of Russian specialists. He stressed that the design office operates on the basis of Samara University, new generations of young scientists and designers are prepared. “If we talk about who from Russian space firms is most ready to challenge the SPACEX team, I believe it is Samara,” the head “Roscosmosa concluded.
