Launch of the automatic interplanetary station “Luna-25” from the East cosmodrome is clarified and scheduled for the second possible “startup window” (period of time when the spacecraft running from the ground, taking into account its design features and energy-relatedness, and on a given trajectory will reach the destination point ) In May 2022.
The transition to the second “start window” was caused by the need to be revealed during the ground experimental development, the need to further confirm the declared characteristics of the instruments, units and the Muscular installation “Moon-25” in the conditions as close as possible to the space space, which can be carried out on Earth.
The results of the completed currently critical testing spacecraft have revealed the need for additional research, including taking into account the ballistic conditions of the flight to the moon. Even taking into account the fact that by now the board of the Space Agency “Luna-25” is fully staffed by standard samples of devices and systems, there is a need to conduct inspections performed in ensuring the required reliability of the first Russian mission to the moon.
Events will be able to specialists from the state corporation “Roscosmos” to additionally check the functioning of the onboard equipment, including to work out the electrical docks of the components, to work out the logic of the work and typical sessions in accordance with the program of the flight, taking into account the factors identified during the factor tests.
Space project “Luna-25” is created using the latest achievements in the field of space instrumentation and taking into account the experience of previous lunar expeditions of the SA Science and Production Association Lavochkina (part of the state corporation “Roskosmos”).
