Tajikistan began joint anti-terrorist teachings of special units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic and the Ministry of Public Security of China. This is reported by the press service of the Tajik Power Office.
The exercises started at the landfill at the Margob Polygon, located in the Ramit Gorge. Maneuvers are held to test the fight against terrorism in the conditions of the mountain location.
In the framework of the exercise, the newest weapons will be used, including long-range tanks and guns, artillery, aviation, drones and other types of weapons.
Earlier in Tajikistan, educational maneuvers began the Russian military. About a thousand soldiers of the 201st Military Base, stationed in the republic, take part in them. It is reported that artilleryrs, military engineers, air defense specialists and radio electronic struggle, as well as radiation, chemical and biological protection for a month will “work out tasks in their combat destination”.
In early August, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan conducted joint exercises at the Harb-Maidon polygon near the border with Afghanistan. They took place against the background of the capture of the Afghan territory by the militants of the radical movement “Taliban” (prohibited in Russia). During the training maneuvers, the military worked for the defeat of the detachments of illegal armed formations involved in the territory of the Union State.
