Chinese Baidu Corporation showed the electric vehicle of the future. This is reported by the edition of South China Morning Post.
Announcement took place at the Baidu World 2021 conference. The machine that represents the hybrid of the robot and car, is controlled by artificial intelligence. “In the future, the car will be equivalent to the robot,” said Baidu CEO Robin Lee (Robin Li).
The device is a double vehicle, having retractable doors, a large curved display in the cabin and the control panel. Technology of artificial intelligence using voice control analyzes and predicts driver commands. The machine corresponds to the fifth level of autonomy, that is, it does not require human participation.
Lee also noted that the prototype of the robot car is equipped with special chairs, which are conventionally called seats with weightlessness (Zero-Gravity Seats). They are designed in such a way that passengers of the auto minimally feel the impact of gravity.
According to the head of Baidu, the development of an electric car with artificial intelligence of the corporation took eight years.
In June, it became known that Baidu and the Chinese State Automobile Company Baic Group plan for three years to launch commercial service Robotaxi. Baidu sees in this the ability to diversify its income structure depending on advertising.
