Head of European diplomacy Josep Borrel stated that the European Union could not afford to give Russia and China the opportunity to control the situation in Afghanistan. This is reported by TASS with reference to his performance in the European Parliament.
“We cannot allow China and the Russian Federation to control the situation around Afghanistan,” the agency of the word diplomat leads.
In the same speech, Borrel called the fall in the Afghan regime and the victory of the Taliban (terrorist movement prohibited in Russia) “disaster and nightmare” and estimated the error of Western intelligence services.
