Uzbekistan will allocate airport for evacuation of EU citizens from Afghanistan

Uzbekistan’s authorities will allocate Tashkent-3 airport for evacuation of European Union and Refugees from Afghanistan. It is reported by Gazeta.uz.

Uzbekistan Airways clarified that from August 19, local airport airport will be closed indefinitely for technical reasons. All domestic flights will be carried out according to the schedule from Islam Karimov International Airport.

The source in the government told the publication that the local terminal of the capital airport was allocated to ensure the uninterrupted evacuation of German citizens, other EU countries and Afghanistan, which will be sent from Kabul transit through Tashkent. The presidents of Uzbekistan and Germany earlier agreed on the phone.

In flight schedules, changes can be made.
