On Thursday, August 12, 2021, a working meeting of the Director General of Dmitry Rogozin with the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, was held.
In the working meeting, representatives of Roskosmos subsidiaries were also attended by: Director General of Russian Space Systems, Andrei Trewin, General Director of Glavkosmos Dmitry Loskutov, Deputy General Director of Terra Those Maxim Baltachev, as well as representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation. / P>
In the course of the event, the parties marked the importance of creating the necessary regulatory legal framework for bilateral cooperation in the space sphere and discussed issues of interaction on the following promising areas:
- Using the possibilities of the Russian orbital grouping of remote sensing of the Earth for the scientific and socio-economic development of the Republic of Tajikistan;
- Using the optical means of observing the Gissar Astronomical Observatory and Astronomic Observatory Sangloch Institute of Astrophysics of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, etc.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed the conviction of the need and significance of further strengthening both bilateral and multilateral cooperation in space activities within the framework of the Interstate Council on Space Parties to the CIS. The agreements reached during the meeting will become an important step in the expansion of Russian-Tajikistan interaction and will comprehensively contribute to the development of a mutually beneficial partnership between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan in strategically important industries.
