Taliban captured key objects in city at border with Iran

Movie Movement “Taliban” (forbidden in Russia) seized key objects of the city of Farah – the capital of the province of the same name at the border with Iran. It is reported by TV channel Tolo News with reference to sources.

The militants have already captured the residence of the local authorities and the police station.

Earlier, the representative of the European Union said that the Taliban was taken under control of 65 percent of the territory of Afghanistan. Now the militants threaten the seizure of another 11 capitals of different provinces. In addition, they are trying to “cut off” the capital of the country, Kabul, from the official troops of the country located in the north. If it succeeds, “Taliban” will be easier to capture the city.

In addition, the Iranian authorities closed the borders with Afghanistan and completely stopped trading with the country. Before that, on August 6, Tehran closed the CAT “Milak” on the border with Afghanistan.

Over the past weekend, the terrorist group has significantly expanded its control over the country. Despite the fierce resistance of the Afghan army, three provincial center were captured by extremists: Kunduz, Sari-bullet and Talukan.
