British special forces sent to investigate attack on Israeli tanker

British special forces sent to Yemen to investigate the attack on the Israeli Mercer Street tanker. It is reported by the British newspaper Daily Express.

According to the publication, August 7, 40 soldiers of the United Kingdom (SPECIAL Air Service, SAS), arrived at the airport of Yemen Province of El Mahra. They will communicate with the local population to calculate those involved in the attack. In addition, the British detachment includes a radio electronic struggle division: they will be able to intercept the radio projector if necessary.

According to Daily Express, the British team works with the forces of special US operations, which are already valid in this region – they allegedly engage in the luxury division of Saudi Arabia.

On August 6, United Kingdom did not rule out new actions in the UN Security Council (UN Security Council) against Iran if he does not want to resolve the diplomatic incident with the tanker in the Arabian Sea. In London and Washington, they argue that the evidence of the involvement of Tehran to the incident is found.

Mercer Street oil tanker was attacked by drone-kamikaze at the end of July. As a result, two crew members were killed – a citizen of Romania and the Great Britain. The ship went under the flag of Liberia and was controlled by an Israeli operator Zodiac Group.
