Coaches of the national team of Belarus Arthur Shimaka and Yuri Moses were deprived of accreditation and expelled from the Olympic village due to attempts to make the athlete Christina Timanovskaya return to their homeland. “In the interests of the well-being of the Belarusian athletes, which are still in Tokyo, and as a temporary measure of the IOC abolished the accreditation of two coaches,” said in IOC.

On August 4, IOC opened the work of the Disciplinary Commission on the Timanovsky case. The Commission will investigate the actions of two members of the Belarusian delegation – Arthur Shumaka and the head coach of the Belarusian national team in Athletics of Yuri Moses.
