Britain threatened Iran to consequences for death attack on tanker

Great Britain threatened Iran by the consequences for the death attack on the Mercer Street oil tanker belonging to the Israeli company. This was stated by the head of the British Foreign Ministry Dominic Raab, the press service of the ministry reports.

The United Kingdom works with its international partners over a consistent response to this unacceptable attack, “said the minister.

Raab called an attack on the tanker “illegal and cruel”. He also suggested that Iran attacked Mercer Street with the “use of one or more unmanned aircraft.”

Earlier it was reported that the US authorities joined the joint statement of Great Britain and Israel about the involvement of Iran to the attack on the Japanese Mercer Street tanker in the Arabian Sea.

The incident occurred off the coast of Oman in the Arabian Sea. As a result of the attack, two crew members were killed – a citizen of Romania and a citizen of Great Britain. It is noted that the vessel is associated with the Israeli billionaire Eyal Ofer, to which Zodiac Group belongs.
