Poland reminded Germany about “Open Question” Reparations for Second World

Poland considers the issue of reparations from Germany for damage during the Second World War open. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Pavel Yablonalsky on Polskie Radio.

He recalled that the country has a special Parliamentary Commission on this issue, and to submit it as “closed” are trying individual German policies, pursuing their own goals. At the same time, he noted, contrary to the statements of the Germans, Germany has not yet reimbursed the damage to the death of citizens and the destruction caused by the Hitler’s Third Reich.

In 2020, Jablocks declared the right of Poland on reparations not only from Germanic, but also from the Russian state: according to him, Russia should compensate the damage that the Polish State inflicted the power of the USSR in its territories and the actions of the Soviet Army in the Second World War.

Poland refused German reparations in 1953. In the discussion of this issue, the German side repeatedly emphasizes that the decision of the Polish authorities is questioned. There is no reason.
