A representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharov spoke on the completion of the construction of the first Northern Stream-2 gas pipeline. Her words report RIA Novosti.
Diplomat called the news about the end of an important stage of building a gas pipeline by the news, “blowing the Internet”. She told about trying to make a political process from the Russian project and stressed that the right, legality and economic interests took over.
“completed just for the benefit of our country and all states that participate in this process, project,” concluded Zakharov. She noted that the success of the project is a big breakthrough for the Russian side.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the first northern flux-2 thread was already completed. He promised that the second thread will be completed after a half or two months.
To date, “Northern Stream-2” is ready for 95 percent. It was planned to run at the end of 2019, but due to American sanctions, the launch period had to postpone several times.
