Old Apple smartphones have received an emergency update. It is reported by ICLARIFIED Edition.
The American company suddenly released an update for outdated devices – smartphones, tablets and players. Update iOS 12.5.4. Occasioned for the iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 and 6 Plus presented in 2013 and 2014. Also, the special version of the OS has become available for iPad Air tablets, iPad mini 2 and iPad Mnini 3, the player iPod Touch of the sixth generation.
The listed devices are not available on official sale and do not receive support for current IOS versions. The resulting IOS 12 security patches were represented in 2018. The update included support for FaceTime video calls to 32 people, the function “Screen Time”, fast Siri commands, the ability to auto-complete code from “messages”.
Update includes safety patches and is strictly recommended in the installation.
This is not the first time Apple issues urgent security updates for outdated devices. At the end of March, Apple introduced the iOS 14.4.2 update, which was intended for iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, third-generation iPad mini, the first generation iPad Air and the sixth generation iPod Touch.
