Deputies of the Alternative Party for Germany offered to “restart” relations with Russia. The draft resolution was submitted for consideration of the Bundestag, RT reports.
According to parliamentarians, the relations of the two countries are highly important for the security of countries and maintain stability in Europe, as well as for the economic interests of Germany itself. “But there was still a diplomatic ping-pong from sanctions and response, accusations and counter accuses within the framework of the European Union, the German Foreign Policy continues to be held in a dead end in it,” the authors of the resolution said.
Deputies expressed the opinion that Germany should actively strengthen the dialogue with Russia. So, they propose to create an interdepartmental working group to develop a sustainable cooperation strategy, “persistently to seek” the resumption of the Council of Russia – NATO, and not to support the extension of sanctions against Russia and the idea of turning off this country from the international payment system SWIFT.
Earlier, the Bundestag rejected the application of the petition to revise the policy towards Russia, including to refuse the Northern Stream-2 project. The offer was prepared by the “Green” fraction.
