A new generation of ammunition for RPG-7 grenade launchers will not allow M1 Abrams to leave the battlefield. On the creation of the “killers” of American tanks in Russia, RIA Novosti says.
Agency notes that new ammunition for RPG-7 has become more efficient by 30 percent, since “go armored armor to 600 millimeters.” “Note that, for example, in the latest modifications of the main combat tank US M1 Abrams almost meter frontal combined armor, from the side of 650 millimeters,” the publication says.
The Agency reminds that earlier “in numerous military conflicts in the Middle East” M1 Abrams fell under the fire of grenade launchers.
“But, as a rule, due to the insufficient power of the ammunition, it was not possible to completely remove the car, and American tankers, although on damaged techniques, still went from the battlefield. Now it will be much more difficult,” it is noted in material.
