In the US Army published on Youtube, a roller demonstrating possible scripts for using the Precision Strike Missile missile (PRSM), shown “Blow” on the Russian Cruiser of the 764 “Atlant” (on the NATO code – “Glory”) and the anti-aircraft missile system 400 “Triumph”, reports The Drive.
In this way, the United States army has demonstrated the possibility of using a unmanned modification of the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (Himars). The appropriate tests took place on June 16 at the military base of Fort-Bragg in North Carolina.
According to Defense News, the mounted video shows how the C-130 Hercules military transport aircraft lands on the runway on the island in the Pacific, delivering autonomous launchers Autonomous Multidomain Launcher (AML). Two such systems are deployed in strategically important points of the island. One launches anti-restaurant PRSM, other – PRSM increased range, designed to destroy the enemy air defense system.
In May, the same edition, referring to Lockheed Martin, reported that during the tests of the PRSM missile flew more than 400 kilometers, having broken its own range of range.
In April, the Breaking Defense edition reported that the US Army studies the possibility of increasing the Rocket range of PRSM to 1600 kilometers.
The US Army PRSM must be received in 2023.
