NGO Lavochkina on GLEX-2021

On Monday, June 14, 2021, the International Cosmos Research Conference (GLEX-2021), organized by the International Astronautical Federation, was launched in St. Petersburg, organized by the International Astronautical Federation together with the Roskosmos State Corporation.

By tradition, the first day of the conference was given to the young generation of scientists and students who discussed the prospects for the space industry and their contribution to the sustainable development of astronautics. The official opening of the conference was held on June 15.

In the course of the ceremony, the General Director of Roskosmos State Corporation Dmitry Rogozin stressed the most important areas for the global space community: Planetary Protection and the search for life in the Universe, which is impossible without broad and open international cooperation.

“We have missions that we can do together and this is not only conquering a long-range space,” says Dmitry Rogozin. – The most important of them is planetary protection: how to protect our planet from the unreadable clashes. Today we have no technologies required to protect the Earth, and no country alone will draw their creation. “

S.A. Scientific and Production Association Lavochkina (part of the state corporation “Roskosmos”) traditionally takes part in the event, and within the framework of the exhibition introduced the layout of the unique Russian Space Observatory “Spectr-RG”, which causes genuine interest from the conference delegates.

The GLEX-2021 Conference is an international platform for scientific discussions, business negotiations, the establishment of mutually beneficial relations, agreements and cooperation in the implementation of large scientific and technical projects. The conference involves more than 800 delegates from 59 countries, another 1200 people from all over the world are watching technical discussions and plenary sessions online. The event takes place in the Tauride Palace and will last until June 18, 2021.
