Putin spoke on likelihood of new sanctions by United States

Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about the likelihood of new sanctions by the United States. This was spoken up to this Russian leader during a press conference after meeting with the American counterpart Joe Biden in Geneva, the correspondent “Renta.ru” reports.

Putin stressed that in Washington there are both supporters and opponents of development of relations with Moscow. He found it difficult to say which strengths “prevail.” According to the president, the steps towards new restrictions from the American side after the bilateral leader’s summit will mean “missed opportunity.”

The Russian leader concluded that the United States suffered from sanctions no less than Russia. He noted the negative impact of restrictions against Moscow for the American economy and commodity exchange. “There is no meaning, and there is a loss,” Putin said.

The meeting of the Russian and American presidents was held on June 16 in Geneva at Ville La Grunge. Leaders communicated for three and a half hours.
