As part of this campaign, a resolution was adopted “On the importance of preserving historical memory for the future Europe”, the diplomat, whose goal was to “identify Nazism and communism” and equate the USSR, one of the founders of the UN, to Nazi Germany.

“At the same time, the political elites of a number of Western and Eastern European countries was unleashed by the” Fight “campaign with monuments and memorials, erected in memory of the warriors who died in battles for the liberation of these countries from the Nazis,” said Chizhov, adding that these Countries “Preserved on the political map of Europe only thanks to the victory of the anti-Hitler coalition over Nazi Germany.”

Earlier, Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel called Russian President Vladimir Putin and expressed the feelings of empathy in connection with the innumerable troubles and suffering that the war was unleashed by Nazis.
