Minpromtorg called for metallurgists save oxygen for hospitals

MINPROMTORG called on metallurgical companies to reduce the consumption of technical oxygen during the production of steel so that gas manufacturers can more supply medical oxygen into hospitals. It is reported by RBC with reference to two sources.

According to the publication, the first deputy minister of industry Vasily Osmakov offered to work the opportunity to temporarily redistribute the capacity of manufacturers in order to prevent the gas deficit for those in need of oxygen therapy of patients with COVID-19. Such a decision was proposed after the requirement of the Prime Minister Mikhail Mishoustin to provide medical institutions with sufficient oxygen reserves.
