Russia obliged to pay billions of dollars of ex-structure of YUKOS

The ex-structure of the YUKOS group Yukos Capital Sarl stated that the International Arbitration Court ordered the Russian Federation to pay her compensation of five billion dollars. This was reported to the profile publication Global Arbitration Review.

Arbitration ruled that “Russia illegally expropriated loans that Yukos Capital issued its former maternal company, and did not allow justice in this matter in Russian courts,” RBC writes with reference to the Yukos message. The basis for consideration of the dispute was the contract for the energy charter.

The company began an arbitration proceedings against Russia in 2013, seeking compensation from the country by $ 13 billion. Yukos Capital Sarl said that I provided a loan loan for billions of dollars, which were not returned due to the liquidation of the company on the decisions of the Russian authorities.

In December last year, the Constitutional Court (CS) of Russia allowed not to pay 57 billion dollars to the former JCOS shareholders by decision of the Hague Appeal. The Russian side is ready for a protracted proceedings.

In the Ministry of Justice, the plaintiffs have repeatedly made financial crimes in their homeland: they did not pay taxes and illegally removed the capital, and therefore they cannot be considered conscientious investors.
