Roscosmos continues monitoring 11 June

In the framework of the commission of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, the Roscosmos State Corporation was organized a 24-hour operational monitoring of the flood and fire hazardous situation, as well as other natural and technogenic disasters. The operator of Russian space means of remote sensing of the land of the State Corporation Roscosmos continues operational monitoring of emergency situations around the world by means of the Russian orbital group.

From 3 to 10 June 2021, the following emergencies were monitored at the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia:

  • Karst dips in the Chelyabinsk region, Perm Territory and the Nizhny Novgorod region;
  • flooding in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug and Kamchatka Territory;
  • flooding and fire hazardous furnishings in the Republic of Sakha;
  • Fire hazardous furnishings in the Republic of Bashkortostan, as well as in Moscow and Tyumen regions;
  • reservoir in the Republic of Crimea.

As part of the activities of the International Charter on Space and major catastrophes, the following emergencies were monitored:

  • consequences of an earthquake in the PRC;
  • The consequences of a hurricane in India;
  • Flood in Sri Lanka;
  • Flood in Guyana.

Based on media reports on natural and man-made catastrophes around the world, the space survey of the following events was planned:

  • Flood in New Zealand;
  • Floods in the Irkutsk region;
  • consequences of pollution of the coastal zone in Sri Lanka.

During the reporting period, Russian data of the Earth’s remote sensing in the amount of about 969 thousand square kilometers (128 shooting routes without taking into account cloud routes and routes passing through the interests of several applications at the same time) were transferred to the EMERCOM of Russia. As part of the monitoring of the fire-hazard environment in the Russian Federation, the received Russian data from Cosmic shooting in the amount of about 404 thousand square kilometers km (37 shooting routes without taking into account the cloud routes and routes passing in areas of interest of several applications at the same time).

In addition, as part of the monitoring of the flood and fire-hazardous situation in the territory of the Russian Federation, Russian data in the amount of about 620 thousand square kilometers were transferred to representatives of regional authorities (71 shooting route without taking into account cloud routes and routes passing in areas of interest of several applications at the same time) .
