Strengthening the common interests of Russia and Germany after the launch of the North Stream-2 gas pipeline will create a direct military threat to Europe and NATO countries. This opinion was expressed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Zbigniew Rau, his words reported Rzeczpospolita.
Diplomat said that the gas pipeline project was initially answered by the plans of Moscow to destroy the unity of the West. He noted that Germany was already in the “trap” of the Russian authorities, and the pre-advice of the presidential administration of the US President Joe Bayiden the same fate.
Rau stressed that Berlin sacrificed the values of free peace and European security for cooperation with Russia. At the same time, Moscow “conducts aggressive policies” using armed attacks, blackmail and threats against their neighbors. According to the minister, North Stream-2 will only strengthen the position of the Russian side in the international arena and weaken the North Atlantic Alliance countries.
