A month later, on May 28, the Chinese Center for Control and Prevention of Diseases conducted a complete sequencing of samples taken from infected. Analysis showed a positive result on the H10N3 strain of a bird flu virus.

According to the genetic analysis of the virus, this is an infection of bird origin, and it cannot “effectively” infect people. All who closely contacted patients were placed under medical observation. Currently, the condition of infected is estimated as stable, it can be discharged from the hospital.

It is noted that this is the world’s first case of transmission of the H10N3 strain to a person, there was no previously identified, and this infection was considered random. In addition, among the birds, this strain is considered low-power. In order to avoid infection, the experts advised not to contact with birds who died from the disease, if possible, avoid contact with live bird.
