Serbia refuses to impose sanctions against Russia and China contrary to the opinion of the European Union, despite the fact that it is on the way to it. This was stated by the President of the country Alexander Vucich in the HAPPY TV TV channel, his words leads TASS.
“Serbia also, unlike some other ones on the European Way, will not destroy their relations and has excellent relations with China and Russia. And we will not introduce sanctions against China, nor against Russia, point,” stressed Serbian leader.
Vucic added that this is a Serbian policy that is not balancing and has shown itself well during the coronavirus pandemic period, during the purchase of vaccines, so it will continue. The head of state noted that such a course is the best for citizens of the country, since thanks to Multi-member Belgrade managed to buy drugs against COVID-19 around the world, and the population has the opportunity to choose between the vaccinations Pfizer, Sinopharm, Astrazeneca and “Satellite V”.
Earlier, the European Union called on Serbia to be more actively connecting to the sanction modes of unification within the framework of the preparations of EU accession. The head of European diplomacy Jozep Borrel stressed that this step by Belgrade will become one of the indicative factors of rapprochement in foreign policy issues. However, Alexander Wuchich replied that Serbia would not be solidar with all the positions of Brussels and would not support the sanctions of the West against Russia. The politician refused to support the introduction of anti-Russian restrictions on the part of Europe and the United States and promised that while he was the post of head of state, his decision would not change.
