Kazakhstan received first batch of Chinese vaccine from COVID-19

The first batch of the Chinese vaccine against COVID-19 from Sinovac Biotech arrived in Kazakhstan in the morning of June 1. It is reported by “Sputnik Kazakhstan”.

The volume of the first delivery was 500 thousand doses, the drug will be delivered to the hospital of the republic within 24 hours. It will be used to vaccinate citizens over 18 years old. For its storage, it will be necessary to provide a temperature from two to eight degrees Celsius.

It is noted that the Chinese vaccine has already become the fourth in a row available for vaccination in Kazakhstan. In addition to the domestic qazvac, the country can be given to the Russian preparation “Satellite V” and Arab-Chinese HAYAT-VAX. Registration also received the American Vaccine Pfizer, but its supply to the republic has not yet begun.

Campaign on immunization of citizens from Coronavirus began in Kazakhstan on February 1. The authorities are planning until the end of the year to provide two doses of the drug to six million people. According to the latest data, since the beginning of the pandemic in the country, more than 440 thousand cases of COVID-19 were recorded, almost three and a half thousand people became victims of infection.
