US Air Force announced most efficient fighter

Following the results of 2020 fiscal year, F-35A Lightning II is named the most efficient US Air Force Fighter (Air Force), writes Air Force Magazine.

Magazine notes that from 2019 to the 2020th Mission Capable Rate (MCR), the fifth generation fighter has grown from 61.6 to 76.07 percent. During the same time, this parameter in the F-22A Raptor has changed from 50.57 to 51.98 percent. At the same time MCR has grown in F-15C, F-16C and F-16D, but fell in F-15D and F-15E.

Air Force Magazine notes that the improvement of combat capability F-35A Lightning II is explained by updating the aircraft fleet, as well as an increase in the number of available spare parts and the opening of new warehouses for them, which has become possible due to additional financing of the fifth generation fighter program.

Magazine reminds that the US Air Force planning to gradually get rid of F-15C and F-15D, as well as, in perspective, and from F-22A Raptor.

In April, the DRIVE edition reported that the US Air Force F-35A Lightning II will receive a tablet with “Application Store”.

In the same month, Defense News has noticed that the F-35A Lightning II is not capable of incoming air refueling to overcome considerable distances above the quiet ocean, because in some of the last military games the US Air Force, the United States is useless for the penetration of China’s airspace.

In March, The National Interest magazine wrote that the F-35A Lightning II, created by the American corporation Lockheed Martin, can become a “killer” of enemy ships.
