Lukashenko declared a way to counter Western sanctions

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called the export of national products to “traditional markets” – in an effective way to counteract Western sanctions. This is reported by the publication “Sat. Belarus Today.”

According to him, to cope with the consequences of economic restrictions from Europe, the republic will be able to export to the regions where its products are in demand: Africa, India and China. “And considering the fact that the pandemic has closed many enterprises in the world (not only enterprises, but also whole countries), we turned out to be in demand,” said Lukashenko.

he added that now the Belarusian industry can not be charged the pace of production, and also laid hopes for help from Russia, noting that it is the main trading partner, “no catastrophe in the trade and economic relations with which our country has no”.

Previously, the EU Plans to introduce severe sanctions against Belarus, said Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Mantas Adomenas. He explained that new restrictions can touch the petroleum products, fertilizers, cars and tractors. EU authorities can also limit the republic’s access to European technologies.

The former presidential candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya also reported on the preparation of new European sanctions. She assured that the Supreme Representative of the European Union on Foreign Affairs Josep Borrel promised to introduce new sanctions against Minsk because of the incident with the airline airline Ryanair.
