Russian authorities called the conditions for the appearance of Tesla’s company in the country. According to the head of the Ministry of Industry, Denis Manturova, the country is generally ready for cooperation, but for this, a number of conditions must be observed. This is reported by TASS.
Manturov stressed that it is important to localize technology and ensure the creation of value added. “If Mr. [Ilon] Mask will interact with us in terms of sharing technologies and creating value added – why not? We are ready for such cooperation,” the minister concluded.
Earlier in May, the founder of the company Tesla Ilon Mask said that he wanted to build a plant for the production of electric vehicles in Russia. After that, with a proposal for construction, several governors applied to him.
The Kaluga region became the first contender for the construction of the TESLA plant, and then for the plant in the region, the mask promised benefits and power of Udmurtia. In turn, the Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobiev called on the American entrepreneur to choose the Moscow region.
“I think we are close to presence in Russia. Speaking more widely, also in Kazakhstan, in neighboring regions,” said Mask. He recalled that Tesla production facilities are located, in particular, in the USA and China.
