Almost half of Russians wanted to transfer to electric cars

Almost half of Russians (45 percent) want to buy electric cars, considering them more environmentally friendly and secure. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the study “Rosgosstrakh Bank”.

About 55 percent do not consider the possibility of purchasing electrocars. Of those who are ready to transfer to an electric vehicle, 37 percent called their main motive about ecology, another 34 percent – a higher level of security compared to conventional machines, 17 percent declared love of innovation and new technologies.

about 16 percent of respondents said that electric vehicles are cheaper in service and that their engines are more reliable than gasoline. Every tenth called the reason for the purchase of a desire to follow fashion trends.

However, 46 percent of Russians stops the high price of an electric vehicle, 37 percent is a weak battery and low progress, 29 percent – lack of developed infrastructure, another 12 percent said about a small choice of models. About 31 percent of respondents consider it necessary to cancel the tax on electrocars.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian authorities are going to make the autodiels for the import of electric vehicles. From next year, 15% import duty will be operated on the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
