Number of victims in ultramarafone in mountains of China has grown to 21

The number of died during the ultramaraphon in the mountains of the Chinese province Gansu increased to 21 people. This is on Sunday, May 23, reports Global Times newspaper.

According to the newspaper, previously reported on 16 dead, five more fasteners continued to search for rescuers. Later it became known that the missing participants of the race also died. Even eight people got light injuries, they were hospitalized.

Over 700 people were involved in the search and rescue operation.

Rangered mountainous terrain by 100 kilometers began in the morning on Saturday, May 22, near the city of Bayin in Gansu Province. During the competition in the area, the weather has changed dramatically: a hurricane wind has risen, degrees and cold rain fell to the participants. The temperature dropped to zero degrees. As a result, the race had to be stopped, out of 172 participants 151 managed to immediately evacuate.
