In Central Bank, they talked about actions of Russia in case of disconnection from SWIFT

The Central Bank does not see the risks of turning off the country from the international payment system SWIFT, but if this happens, it will replace the Russian analogue. The first deputy chairman of the regulator Olga Skorobogatov said about such actions, RIA Novosti writes.

She noted that the financial communications transmission system (SPFA) works, and all domestic traffic in the case of a negative scenario can be calmly translated into the domestic system. The chairman of the regulator added that the Central Bank has a direct contact with the headquarters and the Moscow office of SWIFT – they say that everything will work regularly.

Earlier, a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said that the Russian government was prepared for a possible disconnection from SWIFT. Moscow is studying the options for pairing SVFC with foreign systems, such as European SEPA, Iranian Sepam, Chinese Cup and CIPS.
