China criticized conclusion of US troops from Afghanistan

PRC Foreign Minister Van and during a telephone conversation with his colleague from Pakistan Shahmud Kureshi criticized the conclusion of US troops from Afghanistan. He noted that the hasty conclusion of the American troops became a serious blow to the truce process in Afghanistan, and also negatively affected the stability in the region. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

As Van and, Beijing declared that the UN in the current situation “will play due role”, and the countries participating in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will pay close attention to the settlement of the situation in Afghanistan. “The neighboring countries with Afghanistan must strengthen the interaction, make a united front and take coordinated actions,” the minister said.

The Chinese Foreign Minister added that Beijing highly appreciates the efforts of Islamabad to achieve peace in Afghanistan, since Pakistan traditionally has an important impact in the Afghan question.

May 8 European allies asked the United States to postpone the conclusion of troops from Afghanistan so that they had time to get out of the country. Despite the support from Washington, some states stated that they would not have time to leave the republic to the established period and asked to leave the US military after July 4th.

The official conclusion of US and NATO troops from Afghanistan began on May 1 and will last until September 11, although actually the troops began to withdraw back in April. US President Joe Biden explained this decision to his conviction that the US military forces and European countries could neither create nor maintain a sustainable Afghan government.
