He noted that the hasty conclusion of the American troops became a serious blow to the truce process in Afghanistan, and also negatively affected the stability in the region. As Van and, Beijing declared that the UN in the current situation “will play due role”, and the countries participating in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will pay close attention to the settlement of the situation in Afghanistan. “The neighboring countries with Afghanistan must strengthen the interaction, make a united front and take coordinated actions,” the minister said.
The Chinese Foreign Minister added that Beijing highly appreciates the efforts of Islamabad to achieve peace in Afghanistan, since Pakistan traditionally has an important impact in the Afghan question.
