One of the reasons for the increase in prices for products in Russia has become greediness of individual manufacturers and retail chains. Such a prison was put forward by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishoustin, Interfax reports.
Specific manufacturers did not call the head of the Cabinet. According to him, “the government has enough tools to curb the appetites of those who are getting free to attractive demand.”
Mishoustin added that now many entrepreneurs, not wanting to lose benefits, raised domestic prices after the world. This led to an increase in prices within the country, primarily – on socially significant products.
On the other hand, the authorities have already thought about changing the approach. As Vitric Abramchenko, Vice Prime Minister said, coherers for food prices in Russia can not be constantly maintained on the basis of agreements, which are currently operating for sugar and sunflower oil: it is necessary to use a market approach.
Earlier, the government extended agreements to contain prices for products. For sugar, they act until June 1, for oil – until October 1 of this year. This happened against the background of the cost of goods. In the Kremlin, the price containment policy called the filigree process.
In Russia in Russia, prices for some food products increased in the last month. Thus, chicken eggs rose 6.82 percent on average, while in 13 constituent entities of the Russian Federation prices increased by 10-20.6 percent. Among the raised vegetables, analysts listed onions, potatoes and white cabbage.
