Deputy Foreign Ministry of Russia Oleg Syromolotov accused the United States in refusing to cooperate in the field of information security. In the White House, they still did not respond to Moscow’s offer, he told in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to the deputy head of the Foreign Ministry, Russia has long been proposed by the ideas for renewing contacts with the United States, questions relate to international information security “at the highest level”. “Until now, the reaction to our offer from behind the ocean did not follow – not from the previous administration, nor from the current”, – concluded rawlot.
We are talking about the proposal of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin from September 2020: it contained a set of proposals on returning to the effective interaction of Moscow and Washington. Proposals: Restoration of information exchange channels and exchange of non-interference guarantees in each other’s internal affairs.
On April 23, Russia invited the United States to restore the dialogue to prevent cyber threats. The Foreign Ministry stated that the essence of the Russian initiative comes down to the adoption of measures to reboot bilateral relations in the field of information and communication technologies.
