US state stated PE regime due to cyber attacks on pipeline

In the US state of Florida, a state of emergency (PE) was introduced after a cyberatak on the COLONIAL PIPELINE pipeline. It is reported by NBC Miami.

Governor Florida Ron de Santis signed the relevant document due to possible problems with fuel. PE mode is introduced for 30 days and can be extended.

Earlier, the spokesman for the White House, Jen Psaki, tied Russia with a hacker attack on the COLONIAL PIPELINE Pipeline operator. According to her, the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) found that Kiberatak took place from the Russian territory. The US President’s spokesman noted that Moscow must “act responsibly” in connection with this incident.

On May 8, Colonial Pipeline company, which is the largest in the US operator of fuel pipelines, reported that it was attacked by a virus-extortionist. CNN argued that the kiberat was worth a grouping of Russian hackers and their Darkside community. The TV channel stressed that due to the kiberataka, the work of the pipeline providing fuel 45 percent of the US Eastern Coast population was suspended.
