Alexander Alexandrovich Skvortsov – Military pilot of the 1st grade, hero of Russia, Pilot-astronaut of the Russian Federation, 105th Russian cosmonaut, parachute training instructor (more than 500 jumps).
Before enrolling in the cosmonauts detachment of the SMONAVT training center named after Yu.A. Gagarina Alexander Skvortsov was served as a pilot, a senior pilot, an aviation commander in parts of fighter air defense. Led Aircraft L-39, MiG-23, Su-27. It has a total raid about 1000 hours.
The first space flight in space made from April 2 to September 25, 2010 as the commander of the piloted ship “Union TMA-18”, the ISS-23 flight engineer and the commander of the ISS-24, together with Mikhail Kornienko and Tracy Caldwell Dyson. In space, the crew spent 176 days. April 12, 2011, on the day of cosmonautics, Alexander Skvortsov was awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation with the presentation of the medal “Golden Star”.
For the second time, Alexander Alexandrovich went to space on March 26, 2014 as the commander of the piloted ship “Union TMA-12M” and the ISS-39/40 flight engineer together with the astronaut of Roscosmos Oleg Artemyev and the NASA astronaut Stephen Swanson. During the flight, Alexander Skvortsov performed two outlets into open space with a total duration of 12 hours 33 minutes. The duration of the flight was 169 days.
The third space expedition for Alexander Skvortsova began on July 20, 2019 together with ESA Astronaut Luke Parmitano and Nasa Astronaut Andrew Morgan. Alexander Alexandrovich started from the Baikonur cosmodrome on the piloted ship “Union MS-13” as the commander of the ship. On February 6, 2020, the crew of the Soyuz MS-13 ship with a cosmonaut of Roscosmos Alexander Skvortsov, ESA astronaut Luka Parmitano and NASA astronaut Christina Cook safely accustomed landing in the steppes of Kazakhstan. The duration of the flight was 200 days 16 hours 44 minutes.
