Insurance companies in Russia paid on policies covering the risks of the disease coronavirus, more than 2.48 billion rubles per year. It is reported by the newspaper Izvestia with reference to the organization.
So, the average price of such insurance varied from 3.3 to 8.4 thousand rubles, and the amount of compensation on it is from 2.4 to 43 thousand rubles. Conditions for compensation also differed: some guaranteed it in the case of a positive PCR test, others only during hospitalization or a serious course of the disease. Discussed at a refund of 11.5 percent of cases, the Bank of Russia reported.
It is noted that with increasing grafted citizens, the popularity of such policies will decrease. However, if new strains will appear in the future, from which existing vaccines will not be able to protect, then the demand for them can differ on the contrary.
