In January-March, 6,080 fake banknotes of foreign states were revealed in Russia. Of these, 98.2 percent accounted for US dollars, most often these are bills of $ 50 release. This is evidenced by the statistics of the Central Bank of Russia.
For the entire past, the regulator found only 1,730 fake foreign banknotes in the country, the current level became a record at least since 2010. Up to this point, such statistics Bank of Russia did not publish.
Most of the fake dollars, the euro and yuan banks received in January and February – 1.5 thousand and 4.2 thousand, respectively, in March their number declined sharply.
In 2020, 300-550 fake foreign banks were detected in each quarter. As for Russian bills, in the same period for each million banknotes accounted for seven fakes. In the first quarter of this year, it fell 32.2 percent compared to the last quarter of last year and by 12.8 percent in annual terms.
Earlier, the head of the monetary monk management and prevention of counterfeitness of the Central Bank Tatyana Alexandrov said that the fake fakes began to massively fake ten-legged coins. In July last year, 3813 fakes were revealed, in October – 924 coins.
