Five Russians received Japanese Order

Japan awarded five Russians with the orders of the rising Sun of different degrees, the ruling of the country’s government, which leads TASS.

The orders of the second degree were honored by the conductor Yuri Bashmet, Professor MGIMO Easternist Tatyana Gurevich and the former deputy of the State Duma Mikhail Zadornov. The chairman of the Sakhalin Regional Society “Sakhalin-Japan” Lydia Sharukhin, Chairman of the Sakhalin Sochalin Society, was received by the third degree.

Total in the list of awarded 117 foreigners and more than four thousand citizens of Japan. The Order of the Rising Sun of the first degree was received by the former director of US National Intelligence James Clapper, former Prime Minister of Australia Julia Gillard and former Chairman of the European Council, Ex-Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

The award was established in 1875 and has eight degrees, over the years of existence, dozens of Russians have been awarded, mainly science and art figures.

Earlier, the Communist Party of Russia (Communist Party) awarded President Venezuela Nicolas Maduro Order Lenin.
